1st Beijing International Health Tourism Expo(HTE), held in Beijing between December 15 and 17, 2017, had turned out to be a successful debut, not only earning high praise among travel-related authorities and businesses, also enhancing health-tourism exchanges and partnership in China and abroad. This expo was organized by Beijing Sunny International Communications Ltd and under supervision of several national authorities as follows: three departments of China National Tourism Administration (currently Ministry of Tourism & Culture of People’s Republic of China), namely Department of Tourism Promotion & International Cooperation, Department of Planning & Finance and Department of Affairs on Tourism of Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan; Department of Planning & Information, National Health Commission; and Department of International Cooperation, State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Beijing International Health Tourism Expo 2018 is scheduled to take place at National Agricultural Exhibition Center, from September 7 to 9, 2018, with a total area of exhibition covering around 13,000 square kilometers and the number of booths expected to reach around 600. This session, which will highlight “Tourism Healthcare” and bring together health tourism-related organizations and businesses, is designed to present all exhibitors with the latest panorama of health tourism showcasing tourism destinations, medical tourism, holiday resorts, health-tourism towns, hot springs, airlines and tour operators, etc.

The 3-day HTE consists of Trade Mart and Public Visit, thereby catering to different visitors’ needs. For Trade Mart, the Organizing Committee is to set up Buyer & Seller Negotiation Area, at which high-end sellers from China and overseas can engage in face-to-face exchange with exhibitors. 2018 HTE will kick off with Health Tourism Forum, through which, officials from tourist and medical authorities and health tourism-related experts or scholars can have in-depth discussion on key issues and share different ideas in this regard.
